Scott MacKinnon – Belleville | Canada
I’m 30 yrs old, from Belleville, Ontario, Canada.
I’m traveling the around the world with a list of 50 goals that must be completed by years end. I have decided to conquer my fears, attempt my goals and try to reach a life’s worth of goals within 365 days. I’m tired of being a man who says what he wants to do rather than just getting out there and doing it.
Some of my travel goals include:
- Bungee jump at the highest bungee jump site in the world
- Participate in a Muay Thai kickboxing match
- Camp on the Irazu Volcano and view the Pacific and Atlantic Ocean at the same time.
- Visit a Hindu Ashram for meditation and devote 7 days to silence
- Beat a U.S. Border Agent in a face to face stare down
- View the whole list

James Hauville – Sydney | Australia
My name is James, I work in sales but hope to make my living out of writing, hence the informative blogging about my last big trip. I like to try and get out of the country every 18-24 months including the time taken to save the money. I tend to prefer hotels to backpackers, did have a bad experience with cheap accommodation on the Gold Coast as a younger and more naive lad, and it was a lesson well learned.
My travels since 2000 have taken me to the USA, Canada and Hawaii multiple times including two visits to the US West Coast, one to the East Coast, one to Western Canada and one to Hawaii thus far. I am also planning further travels to Europe and Asia in the future (though I have a soft spot for North America I must say) and will also look to write about these as they happen and contribute a fly on the wall view of a typical traveller’s holiday.
Unlike those who are always looking for the roughest path off the beaten track, I tend to stay on it. My style is to provide a viewpoint on the stuff many die hard travellers regard as too commercial or too easy. Alternative views, social commentary and (hopefully!) a touch of humour to make the reader re-examine things they may otherwise miss. Of course, sometimes the rough path comes to me as well, and these moments are highlighted right along with the rest. Enjoy.

Joan Ubide – Tarifa | Spain
I’m an amateur photographer and travel lover from Spain.
I’m originally from the Catalan area of Spain, but I’m now based at Tarifa, near the southern tip of Spain, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and Morocco.
In June 2007, I set off to travel and photograph the world. I traveled through the Middle East, Central Asia, and Eastern Europe photographing local communities, people, and their surroundings. I also wrote about my experiences in my blog. I hope you enjoy the stories behind my photos.

I am a surfer and have been for as long as I can remember. I love sharing my passion as much as I love surfing itself. I am also a developing writer and regularly write blog posts for our own website unravelsurftravel.com. My native language is Afrikaans which is a derivative of Dutch and various other languages left behind by
European colonisers. I learnt to speak Danish when I lived in Denmark as a teenager, but that was so long ago that I have almost forgotten it again. That was also where I learnt to appreciate warm beer and Huge Music Festivals.(Although I still prefer cold beer and parties where I can dance with my wife)
In Morocco I saw toilets without toilet seats and mechanics repairing a moving bus while driving over a mountain pass. In France I saw uncovered breasts on regular beaches and in Argentina I saw steaks too big to be from one animal only.
I once slept in a fancy hotel room where I wasn’t supposed to and another time I sneaked into the Golden Circle of a Red Hot Chilli Pepper Concert with only a regular ticket. But I am not malicious at all.
I believe in humanity.
With my writing I hope to inspire people to be the best that they can be.
Danko Winters - St Paul | U.S.A
I personally live my life by this simple quote, “the best index to a person’s character is (a) how he treats people who can’t do him any good, and (b) how he treats people who can’t fight back,” – Abigail van Buren.
I see the world with a very curious sense of what it could be, not what it may be right now.
I have been enlightened and enriched by my many various travels and awesome life experiences.
My inner soul has been forever shaped by the numerous life stories shared with fellow human beings.
A neutral observer of life’s events, and the simple passing of precious forgotten time we can never get back.
I mainly specialize and dabble in the quagmire that can be game design, fine art photography, and creative writing to name just a few deep passions of mine.
I derive my majestic artistic inspiration and inquisitive imaginative wondrous ambition(s) from many current and past greats. Including Ansel Adams, Sergey Gorsky, and Gillian Ayres to name just a few inspiring individuals amongst the many amazing people who dare to believe in something good.
I remain today just a playful child at heart who simply loves to have fun and explore new places!
My name is Danko Winters. Welcome Home and Be Well!
Ara Charissa Sam - Manila | Philippines
I am a Filipino adventurer at heart – in search of rich cultures and awe-inspiring tales from other countries.
I’m passionate about discovering new things! I write in detail describing my fun, crazy and mind-blowing experiences.
I have been quarantined in a non-english speaking country during my trip to Cambodia from Vietnam; enjoyed Takeshita street and ate ice cream near Mt. Fuji during winter in Japan; swam with the whale sharks in Donsol, Philippines; ate worms and crocodile meat in Puerto Princesa, Philippines; went temple-hopping in Bangkok, Thailand; relaxed at the fabulous beaches in Bali, Indonesia; marveled at the world class waves in Siargao; searched for amazing trinkets in Singapore; viewed the Great Ocean Road and Twelve Apostles from a helicopter in Melbourne; and best of all, jumped from the tallest (per Guinness) bungy platform in Macau.
