Back in 1995 I traveled to America to play on the professional beach volleyball tour, living in Long Beach California and training at Huntington Beach. Although I didn't win millions it was my first major exposure to living and traveling overseas and a turning point in my life... from then on I was hooked.
Soon after my return to Australia I entered the travel industry as a travel agent. During my career I have been fortunate enough to travel extensively most years.
Since then I have backpacked for many months through the UK and Europe, toured throughout South East Asia and Northern Asia, lived in Mauritius working as a G.O at Club Med, traveled across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific and had some amazing unforgettable experiences. The journey for me will never end as there is still so much left to see and many more friends to be made along the way.
Being on the frontline hearing peoples travel enquiries day in day out has given me a great insight into the needs of travelers and where the industry has been lacking.
That's why I decided to create a website where people could truly feel part of a community, where they could easily research and plan future trips and meet interesting "like minded" enthusiasts.

Hi, I'm James... and I also love to travel.
My first overseas experience was a school trip to Japan, and after I finished uni, I couldn't wait to go out and see the world.
I'm a big fan of independent travel! So far my travels have seen me visit 22 countries, and the next destinations I'd like to visit include Egypt, Turkey, India, and South America.
I lived in Asia for two years, and have the utmost respect for anyone who has gone out of their comfort zone, lived in a foreign country, and had to learn another language to get by.
